Resophonic solutions for today's guitarist

Busker 'Deco Tricone

Guide Price £576

The Busker 'Deco is a brass-bodied 12-fret tricone resophonic guitar.

The tricone was the original "resophonic" guitar design.  It has a sweet, complex tone with lots of sustain.  The richness comes from the combination of three 6" cones working slightly out of phase and the warmth from the brass body.

The 'Deco is a beautifull guitar for many styles of music.  At Busker Guitars we set up the instrument with a medium action and medium gauge Michael Messer National strings (13-56), which gives players the opportunity to work in standard tuning and open G or open D with or without a slide.  However, contact us if you would like your guitar fitted with a 15-56 or 16-59 set (lowered tunings only).

The 'Deco has a range of possible finishes - Please call or email to see what we have presently in stock.  Special orders can be undertaken.

JJ Manning and Friends doing what Busker guitars do best!

...Great gig last night at the monthly meetin up of Leicester's finest blues people. Once again people were amazed at the Tricone. Comments like 'phenomenal guitar' and 'you would not be able to tell it from a 1930s guitar' as well as 'Can I borrow it please Jj for my next gig ?' and 'How much did it cost to import from the States ?' were par for the night. She plays like a dream (without a mic...and still filled the room !) and the set up is spot on for fingerstyle as well as slide. Blues pieces in standard tuning sounded rich and full I played some of my Celtic instrumentals on it as well (in modal tunings too-Dsus and Gsus) and they sounded glorious. Even better than on my Martin which I normally use for this kind of music. The Deco provided a haunting sound in these tunings which made the spirit soar.... Some of these Celtic tunes I will only perform on the Deco from now on ! A truly superb instrument which turned many heads, and everyone wanted to play it for themselves ! Again my many thanks to yourself, to Ron and to your 'Packing Gnome'. ...

JJ.
