BUSKER HOBO
Guide Price £381
Something new from Busker Guitars - The Hobo is a travel squareneck single-cone guitar designed for lapstyle players on the move!
I've wanted to produce a little resonator lap guitar for a long time - something I could take with me anywhere - and the Hobo is just perfect. It has that blues voice of a biscuit-bridge 9.5" cone and we have been able to make the most of the internal space to ramp up the bass on what is essentially a travel guitar. Sweet lead lines or growling rhythm - playing solo or adding fills - this little guitar has it all. And, of course, it is great fun!
There are a few sound clips below - simple one-take clean recordings to give you an idea of the remarkable voice of this little guitar.

Niall O'Driscoll playing Celtic Busker Blues
The more we play this little guitar in different situations, the more its potential opens up. It can be loud and punchy or sweet and lyrical. The Hobo has the volume to work excellently in a "session" situation and has proved to be an outstanding "pub" lap guitar, where it will hold its own in the mix with banjos, guitars, bass, mandolins, harps etc. And it is just so easy to transport and such a comfortable joy to play.
If you want a magical instrument for blues, Celtic, bluegrass or for literally wherever you want to take your slide playing, take a Hobo.
